The serengetti plains in southern Kenya almost to the border with Tanzania. These are some very cool Acacia trees. Lions and other animals love to rest in their shade.
Aaron squatting way too close to a couple of Rhinos on a game drive.

Just the girls. In case you think that I look especially sofisticated in this picture, it's because I have decided to let my natural grayness emerge. No more hair color. I've even had some comments from people that I look better, even elegant. Ha ha ha.
Our girls. September first 2005
This is our new house. We move in at the begining of next week. Around September 5th. Also this is our car. We traded in our gas guzzler about 2 months ago to save money. It is a 2001 Volkswagon Gol and we really like it.
A photo of our condominium taken from the patio.

I don't know if she looks like she is going to laugh or cry.
Another gorgeous winter day. 70 degrees and bright bright sunshine. Sofi takes advantage of the heat to play with her barbie pool.
Our dog Ozwald.
Mazie and Ozzy enjoying the park together. Sunday August 7th was a beautiful warm day here in Santiago. It was also the day of the child. The idea is take your kid out and do something special with them on this day or buy them presents. We chose to go to the park.
Sofi's favorite thing to do at the park is swing. Notice her mouth. She just lost her first tooth this week. She was very brave and let her dad pull it out.
Teetertottering may seem fun here, but it didn't last long due to the slight weight imbalance.

Mom and Mazie watching Sofi dance. Don't we look cute. Posted by : Angie
Sofi getting ready to perform a typical dance for the celebration of the Month of the Sea. FYI...the little boy sitting to her right is Andres. Her best "boy" friend according to Sofi. "He's smart and tall like me. I also like to play with him most of all the boys." Posted by : Angie
Mazie and her classmates performing Vivaldi's Autumn Concerto on the recorder. She is the one with the red shirt. Posted by : Angie
Mazie, Sofi and Ozzie celebrating Sofi's 6th birthday. Sofi is wearing her new bathrobe that Mazie gave her. It is pretty cold here so she didn't want to take it off. It's calentita. Posted by : Angie
Sofi showing us her new outfit that Mamaw got her for her birthday. Posted by : Angie
Sofi with her new beauty kit that Mamaw got her for her b-day. In case you can't tell from the picture she is very excited. What she really would like to be doing instead of taking this picture is getting a make over by her big sister. That is what she did as soon as the photo shoot ended. Posted by : Angie
April 27th or somewhere around that date, Mazie had a slumber party to celebrate her 10th birthday. From back left to front they are: Daniela, Mazie, Belen, Sofi's hand, Romina, Belinda and Paulina. Posted by : Angie
This is the actual "slumber" part of the party just getting under way. Posted by : Angie
This is everyone watching the Lizzie Maguire movie. Posted by : Angie
This game was a hit at Mazie's slumber party. Mazie is the one in green at the far end. Posted by : Angie

This is probably the first really good picture taken of just Aaron and I in the last 3 or 4 years. At least I like it. We just came back from the beach. That's why our faces are so red. We are sitting at our dining room table getting ready to eat one of Aaron's specialties. MMMMMMMM Posted by : Angie
Here we find Sofi with her two best girlfriends from her class. From left to right they are: Sofia, Maria Jesus (she has been Sofi's classmate and friend since her first year in the school when they were only 3 years old.) and Emma. Emma is Australian and Sofi enjoys having a little friend who she can converse in English with. Posted by : Angie
This is Tia Patchi, Sofi's Kindergarten teacher. She is wonderful. "Tia" is the word they use here when refering to the preschool teacher. It literally means "aunt". Posted by : Angie
Sofia and her best buddy Diego Checo. Diego is my friend Maca's little boy. He is 4 and according to the two of them they are going to get married when they grow up. Here they are sitting on the step at the entrance to their school. Posted by : Angie

The girls at the beach in February. It was kind of a cool and cloudy day. Posted by : Angie
We are the Arnolds, a missionary family living in Santiago Chile. Aaron is one of the co-directors of Youth Specialties Chile. Angie is a stay at home mom and sometimes English teacher. Mazie is 12 and in 7th grade. Sofi is 8 and in 3rd.
